Crafting a New Vision:Kimonos Meet Digital Art
For more than 20 years, I have been deeply fascinated by the charm and incredible beauty of antique kimonos and have decided to open my own small but unique kimono salon in London to explore this path further.
Creating digital art, bringing together my passion of kimono and my worldview with AI technology, is my way of exploring new forms of creation.
The pandemic limited the freedom to enjoy and dress in kimono. As long days and night passed gazing at these exquisite gowns indoors, an opportunity to start something new related to them, found my inspiration.
Even though AI technology is still in its infancy and constantly developing, with certain aspects that are remarkably very slow. I plan to continue creating original works that are enlivening, emotional and provocative. Step forward into my gallery….
Production
Japan boasts vivid landscapes within its four distinct seasons, with people cherishing the changing flowers of nature from spring to fall. Kimono designs are often inspired by this natural world and include elements such as flowers and birds, reflecting Japan’s unique aesthetic sensibility. These beautiful traditions have served as artistry in the creation of the kimono and remain as the essence of their imagination.
Uniting, history, diverse cultures and the latest technology, efforts are made to produce mesmerising art works, while bridging our stories of the old and the new.
